"I know the garage well and are always welcoming. They did put themselves out and did ensure I was aware of any additional work that needed to be carried out. The service engineer who phoned me ensured that I was aware of the work that needed to be carried out in addition to the service to rectify issues with the car. I was told what was needed to be done, cost implications and if required support in prioritising what was to be carried out. All work was completed within the day. I like how they have changed to texting the owner when the work is completed, which is a lot more efficient. Things to improve, perhaps shout about their excellent, reliable service more loudly. How they can be trusted to get the work completed on time with efficient service. No problem this time, but if there has ever been an issue they listen and act. Even at 8am when my car made a loud noise and I turned up on the door step, Mr Burns smiled and sorted out the car, booking it in that day. Reliable and I don't feel that I'm being ripped off, there are few people who I trust to work on my car, now that my father is no longer here to keep it on the road. "

"There had been an unpleasant vibration felt through the steering wheel at speeds in excess of 50mph. Tracking and wheel balance had helped but not improved the situation and with only a few days to go before a holiday in Dorset the vibration became severe. Burns Garage readily agreed to look at the vehicle and diagnosed the problem as involving the drive shaft on the offside front. A replacement was ordered and fitted the following day ensuring we had the car for our holiday the next day thus saving unnecessary expense and worry."

"Dealer concentrated on MY needs and,with the exception of Ford Finance, which he recommended as a money saver (and correctly, to my advantage) did not try to 'baffle me with science', or sell me other products, none of which I required. He was courteous, well-dressed, well-spoken and presented an excellent image for this, my first visit to Burns, Congleton. He took great care to explain the differences I would experience in this, my first automatic car. Although it is not my nearest Ford Dealership, it has about it the 'family' atmosphere that I had become used to before I moved to the area. I had already chosen my vehicle on the internet, and the vehicle I was shown and in which I was given a test-drive was the exact one I had seen on their website. All in all it was a first class experience, and one I have not come across since I left the Worksop area, and My Garages, the late 'Sugdens of Worksop, where I always felt I had been treated as 'one of the family'. The garage has been recommended to me by my daughter, who along with her friend have used Burns in the past, though never for a new car. As in her choice of parents, she showed great taste. "Burns Garages were very accommodating regarding my vehicle buying decision, in fact I did originally enquiry about a Focus but purchased a Fiesta after driving both cars. The dealership staff are all exceedingly pleasant and easy to take to and there is very much a "family feel" that appears to be dying out these days. To put this into perspective, the final choice came down to a Seat Leon Cupra 280 or a Fiesta (both vastly different cars in terms of size and price, but each appealed) and the decision to go with the Ford was a 50/50 split between the driving experience and dealership performance - the local Seat dealer visits being a more pressured and un-settling environment which I didn't feel entirely comfortable with. I have no qualms in recommending Burns Garages to friends, family or work colleagues and hope that the rest of the ownership process runs as smoothly as the initial purchase of the vehicle."

I will never go Bristol Street again but I would go to Burns Anytime. There was no pressure we felt that questions we asked we answered honestly and accurately (something which didn't happen at Bristol Street, we also were told things which we later found weren't true). We will as a family now go to Burns as and when our cars need replacing. Everyone from reception to the cleaning staff were friendly and polite. "This is the third motability car I have had from Burns Congleton. Nothing is to much trouble for them no matter want I ask I always get a result I understand. Any help I need whilst in the showroom is offered immediatley. The servicing dept are great from the receptionist to the technician, I am treated with respect and politeness. The motability advisor (Neil Harrison) is very competent and trustworthy, he has on occasion offered help on a variety of problems and what I think to be silly questions. When I ring or visit the dealership I dont feel that I am a customer, but a friend. I am always offered coffee and a nice chair to sit when I enter. I have had Fords from when I was a teenager but my lataest is a dream C-Max Titanium. Ford have done me proud over the years and I think they will continue to do so in the future. I have tried to be honest in my opinion of Burns of Congleton and I hope to use them in the future too, they're not the closest Ford dealer but to me they are the best."

"I bought my Focus from you 12 months ago, it had a free winter service check, which went very well. It has just had a free 12 month service, which was part of the deal when I bought the car. All went fine, I had two problems with the car, first was a loose mudflap which was fixed during the service, the other was a problem with the sat-nav. This was solved a few days later when a spare part was available. This job took around 3.5 hours in total, the staff in service reception were all very helpful offering to brew up for me quite a few times and some chocolate biscuits. "The salesman was very helpful, not over pushy, had a very good knowledge of all vehicles in the Ford range. We just viewed the Ford garage in Crewe but left because we didn't feel comfortable looking round as the salesman followed us around, didn't give us a chance to browse at comfort and was very very pushy. The Mondeo is a lovely drive, it feels solid and a quality finish. We also have a Vauxhall Insignia but it pales in comparison to the drive in the Mondeo! Our only slight niggles are that there isn't an auto setting on the headlights and apart from the White the colour range is a little "old man-ish"."

"General comment: Very impressed with Burns Garages; we have only ever been in the position to buy a brand new car on two previous occasions in 40 years of car driving and one of those (Fiesta PVT 755W) was from Burns Garages back in the day too. Their great strength is their long standing as a well regarded, family run, independent garage. Because they are a smallish concern in a distinct small town locality, you feel that you and all their other customers really matter to them. You do see a LOT of Burns cars around the local area. I would not feel the same about a big dealership that is part of a national chain, where you probably wouldn't meet the same salesman twice and you as a private buyer are very small beer compared to the fleet buyers. This time round we were originally looking, as normal for us, for a second hand car; we had about 8000 to spend and wanted to return to a Ford having had (very satisfactory) Vauxhalls for the last two times. Burns second hand salesman Mike was excellent with us, showing us some beautifully prepared second hand Kas and Fiestas. He came out with us on test drives, answered questions knowledgeably and he obviously has a wealth of Ford car experience. We had discounted new vehicles as probably too expensive but he suggested going across to the showroom to look at new Ka and Fiestas ranges; I don't know whether that cost him a sales bonus - if so it shows commendable integrity on his part because the rest is history. We were so impressed with the new Ka Metal that salesman Nick showed us that...we bought it! The differential between a newish s/h Ka and a brand new one really was reasonable enough at Burns prices to be a stretch worth making. We had also done a bit of looking elsewhere to compare but the Burns deal won hands down. Nick was brilliant to deal with, again nothing was too much trouble and we were really pleased to have bought our new car from Burns of Congleton. I tend to think this of every new car we get ( whether new or second hand) but on this occasion I am DEFINITELY right: this is the best car we have ever bought in terms of value, suitability (we only need one car now both children are grown up and away from home so it suits us fine as a twosome of a certain age), style, equipment, performance, economy, running costs, dealer support, everything. We are both delighted with our new car and are delighted with the car buying experience offered by Burns Garages. Excellent!"
