Triumph TR2 looking for a new owner who can love and cherish it once again, been sat for several years and is ready to find a someone who can give it some more love and attention and get back onto the road more often. Our ownership for the last 8 Years, Prior to this the last owner before was from Cardiff.
The example offered here today is an original UK RHD car, first registered in the November of 1954 and is the later ‘short door’ version. The TR2 has had just 4 owners since 1970. The car was acquired by the last owner some 10 years ago and has just emerged from a ten year extensive ‘nut and bolt’ ‘body off’ restoration. Accompanying the car is a full photographic record of the refurbishment together with the all important British Motor Industry Heritage Trust build certificate. During the restoration the car was treated to many new panels including wings, doors, floors, transmission tunnel, bulkhead and front and rear aprons etc. The TR also benefits from a complete new interior, including red leather trim, new carpets and a new Motalita wood steering wheel. The car was also treated to brand new weather equipment including hood, side screens and tonneau cover. The TR also comes with front disc brakes and new 60-spoke powder-coated wire wheels. Needless to say, during such a comprehensive body restoration, all brightwork was replaced including new bumpers front and rear, a new windscreen and surround and new lights front and rear etc.
The car is sold with an extensive history file, which contains an old style green log book dating from 1970, older TR register correspondence, a photographic record of the restoration and the aforementioned Heritage certificate.
